sureshbjani.wordpress.com આમાં ગુજરાતી સાહિત્યના સર્જકોનો સંક્ષિપ્ત પરિચત આપવામાં આવે છે. suresh_jani.blogspot.com આમાં મારી સ્વરચિત રચનાઓ મૂકેલ છે. kavyarasaswad.blogspot.com આમાં મને ગમતા કાવ્યો અને ગઝલો રસાસ્વાદ સાથે મૂકેલ છે. વાંચીને પ્રતિભાવ આપવા વિનંતિ છે.

ગુજરાતી ભાષાના ઇન્ટરનેટ પર વધતા જતા વ્યાપને ધ્યાનમાં રાખીને હમણા એક નવી વેબસાઇટની શરૂઆત કરવામાં આવેલ છે. ગુજરાતીબ્લોગ્સ.કોમ ના નામથી ચાલુ કરેલી આ વેબસાઇટ માત્ર ગુજરાતી બ્લોગરોની સુવિધાને ધ્યાનમાં રાખીને બનાવવામાં આવી છે. આ વેબસાઇટ દ્વારા કોઇ પણ વ્યક્તિ પોતાનો ગુજરાતી બ્લોગ ચાલુ કરી શકે છે અને તે પણ વળી મફતમાં!

સમીરભાઇ, તમારે જે લેખ લખવો છે, તે જો અંગ્રેજી વિકિપીડિયા પર હોય તો શ્રેષ્ઠ રસ્તો છે તેનો અનુવાદ કરો. આપ તે Article ને English Wikipedia માં en:MP3 પર જઇને ખોલો, તેને મથાળે Edit લખેલા Tab પર ક્લિક કરો, બધું લખાણ copy કરો, અહીં ગુજરાતીમાં એમપી-થ્રી (MP3) અથવાતો તમને યોગ્ય લાગે તે નામથી નવું પાનું બનાવો અને અંગ્રેજીમાંથી લાવેલું લખાણ ત્યાં paste કરો. હવે આ લખાણનું ભાષાંતર કરવાનું ચાલું કરો, તમારો લેખ ધીમે ધીમે તૈયાર થતો જશે. શરૂઆતમાં ક્યાંય પણ અટવાવ તો મારો સંપર્ક કરજો, અને બીજી કોઇ ભુલ થાય તો ચિંતા ના કરશો, હું કે બીજા અન્ય સક્રિય અનેનુભવી સભ્યો તે ભુલો સુધારી દેશે. આશા છે કે મોડો મોડો પણ મારો જવાબ તમને મદદરૂપ થશે.--ધવલચર્ચા/યોગદાન ૦૮:૨૪, ૧૧ એપ્રિલ ૨૦૦૮ (UTC)

Further promotion of Indic language wikipedias needs mass media publicity like Print,Radio,telvision , aproaching in academic Institutions.
Also if possible a level of field support from network engineers in India for presentation and training in usage of Indian Languages and wikipedia can be a added boon.
May I call on all indic language wikipedia users,to put our hands together to design special barnstars or suggest one which can be awarded to all those who will support our noble cause with actual field support among Indian education institutions and Indian mass media or actual field 'network'help to users.
I belive we should award barnstars to such users who can support the cause through online publicity like blogs , groups etc. also.

The 2008 Board election committee announces the 2008 election process. Wikimedians will have the opportunity to elect one candidate from the Wikimedia community to serve as a representative on the Board of Trustees. The successful candidate will serve a one-year term, ending in July 2009.

Candidates may nominate themselves for election between May 8 and May 22, and the voting will occur between 1 June and 21 June. For more information on the voting and candidate requirements, see <http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Board_elections/2008>.

The voting system to be used in this election has not yet been confirmed, however voting will be by secret ballot, and confidentiality will be strictly maintained.

Votes will again be cast and counted on a server owned by an independent, neutral third party, Software in the Public Interest (SPI). SPI will hold cryptographic keys and be responsible for tallying the votes and providing final vote counts to the Election Committee. SPI provided excellent help during the 2007 elections.

Hello. The standard bot policy was updated to allow global bots, which are now technically possible. These are trusted bots that will be given bot access on all wikis that allow global bots (the local policy or request page must explicitly allow them, or they won't get access on this wiki). The current requirements for global bots are:

  • the bot must only maintain interlanguage links or fix double-redirects;
  • the bot must already be active on several wikis, with long-term contributions to back up its trustworthiness.
