Kshatriya Thakor and Koli Thakor both are different communities in Gujarat.

Koli Thakor is mostly living in Saurashtra region and some part of Middle Gujarat.

However all Kshatriya Thakors belongs to North Gujarat and Middle Gujarat. They have same culture and traditions as all other Kshatriya communities. Also in their villages and regions they are still valued and respectable people called as Bapu, Darbar, Bha and many more. Their bright past records are still safe in Barot/Rao books who kept genealogies.

Their surnames, Gautra, Rishi, vansh and all other things are same as the Kshatriya's.

Actually before, Thakor was not caste but an honor given by local people in past

their ancestor's are still to be known as “Thakor Saheb(Saa'b) ”

And their surnames were different as all the Kshatriyas

But after year by year due to political agendas of dividing Kshatriya communities for votebank this caste added into OBC category with sub caste Thakor.

And these political agendas became very successful as from Youngsters of Saurashtra and some other regions who don't know history much makes fun of these Kshatriya Thakor as Koli. However their elders who know the facts give the same respect.

ઉત્તર મધ્ય ગુજરાતનાં ઠાકોર એ સમાજનો જ એક ભાગ છે. આ ઉત્તર - મધ્ય ગુજરાતનાં ક્ ઠાકોરએ કોળી ઠાકોર નથી. કોળી ઠાકોર મુખ્યત્વે સૌરાષ્ટ્ર પ્રદેશમાં વસવાટ કરે છે. પરંતુ હા, અમુક અંશે ઉત્તર-મધ્ય ગુજરાતમાં પણ જોવા મળે છે. આ કોળી ઠાકોરએ રાજપૂત નથી. કોળી ઠાકોરની પેટાજ્ઞાતી (SUB-CASTE) કોળી ઠાકોર હોય છે. જ્યારે હિન્દુ ઠાકોર લખેલ હોય છે. આ ઠાકોર પાસે બારોટ/રાવ (વહીંવંચા) હોય છે. જેમાં તેઓનો ઇતિહાસ છે. આમ ઠાકોર અને કોળી ઠાકોર બન્ને સમાજ અલગ-અલગ છે. સતી લક્ષ્મીબા દવાડા ઝાલા રાજપૂત કુળ ( હાલ ના ક્ષત્રિય ઠાકોર તરીકે ઓળખાય છે )ઓળખાય છે તેવો ઠાકોર શ્રી સંગ્રામઃશિહજી દાદાભા ના બહેન હતા દાદાભા સંગ્રામશિહજી ઠાકોર જયારે ધીંગાણે વિરગતી ને પ્રાપ્ત થયાં નો સંદેશ મળ્યો લક્ષ્મીબા ને થયું કે હવે એકલ વાયુ જીવન જીવવું પડશે તેથી તેવું ના થાય તે માટે તેવોયે તેજ સમયે સમાધિ માટે ધરતી માં ને યાદ કર્યો જેમ સતી સીતા માં ને જગ્યા આપી એ મજ લક્ષ્મીબા ને પણ કરી આપી આમ સંગ્રામસિંહ ના ઇતિહાસ સાથે લક્ષ્મીબા પણ અમર થઇ ગયા આમ ગામ ના લોકો લક્ષ્મીબા ને ફોઈ કહી ને બોલાવે છે ભાઈ બહેન ના પ્રેમ નું ગુજરાત માં સૌથી ઉત્તમ ઉદાહરણ પૂરું પાડતા અને પોતાનું સતીત્વ અમર રાખવા સમાધિ લેનાર લક્ષ્મીબા જેવી રાજપૂતાણી ઓ ના લીધે જ ધર્મ સંસ્કૃતિ અને ઠકરાતી સંસ્કુતિ જીવંત છે ધન્ય છે ઝાલા કુળ ને ધન્ય છે ગુર્જર દેશ (ઝાલા મકવાણા ) ક્ષત્રિય રાજપૂત જય શક્તિ માં દાદા હરપાલસિંહ મકવાણા ( દાદાભા ) જય ક્ષત્રિય 106.205.251.67 ૧૩:૨૯, ૨૩ માર્ચ ૨૦૨૨ (IST)
