This is the template for the infobox for a song article. If the song has been released as one of the A-side and B-side of a single, use the Template:Infobox single instead. For other considerations, see Template:Infobox musical composition. The box to the right is an example with some of the most common parameters. The code below can be copied and completed with information pertaining to song articles.

Code[ફેરફાર કરો]

Most articles will not need all the following fields; unused fields may be left blank.

{{Infobox song <!-- See Wikipedia:WikiProject_Songs -->

Parameters[ફેરફાર કરો]

Unless otherwise stated here, refer to Template:Infobox single#Parameters for guidelines on how to use parameters that it shares with this infobox.

Name[ફેરફાર કરો]

The title of the song is required. If the title is not in English, the translation may be included in the English_title field.

Cover[ફેરફાર કરો]

An image of the sheet music cover, etc. may be displayed if one has been first uploaded. Enter the file name only into the field: <Image Name>.jpg. See Wikipedia:Uploading images for details. This will automatically produce the caption <"Song"> cover beneath the image if the Caption field is not used.

Caption[ફેરફાર કરો]

Using this field will defeat the automatically produced <"Song"> cover when the Cover field is used.

Type[ફેરફાર કરો]

Use this field to add something more descriptive than "Song" (default), such as "Instrumental" or "Composition". This is not used for genre or form, which are described in the Genre and Form fields.

Artist[ફેરફાર કરો]

If the article associates the original or primary rendition of the song with one artist, enter the name of the artist. For traditional songs, hymns, anthems, etc., this should be left blank. See also Template:Infobox musical composition.

EP[ફેરફાર કરો]

If the song was first released on an EP or Extended play, add the EP name in this field. Both Album and EP will not show in the infobox – the Album field will override the EP field.

Written[ફેરફાર કરો]

The year the song was written, if discussed in the article. This is usually used for songs written before the advent of sheet music publishing or music recording.

Published[ફેરફાર કરો]

The year the song was published, if discussed in the article. This is usually used for sheet music published before the rise of music recording.

Writer[ફેરફાર કરો]

Use this field if the music and lyrics were written by one person or, in the case of multiple writers, where a separate lyricist and composer have not been clearly identified by a reliable source. Do not use this field if the Composer and Lyricist fields are used.

Composer[ફેરફાર કરો]

The person(s) who composed the song's music, if different than the lyricist. If not differentiated in the article, use the Writer field instead.

Lyricist[ફેરફાર કરો]

The person(s) who wrote the lyrics, if different than the song's composer. If not differentiated in the article, use the Writer field instead.

Language[ફેરફાર કરો]

If the song is not in English, indicate the language. The English_title field may include a translation of the song title.
