જગદીશ ઠાકોર (જન્મ ૧ જુલાઈ ૧૯૫૭) એ ગુજરાત, ભારતના ભારતીય રાષ્ટ્રીય કોંગ્રેસના રાજકારણી છે.[૩] તેઓ ભારતની 15મી લોકસભાના સભ્ય હતા.[૪] તેમણે ગુજરાતના પાટણ મતવિસ્તારનું પ્રતિનિધિત્વ કર્યું હતું.[૫] ઠાકોર ગુજરાતના કોળી સમાજના છે. [૬] [૭]
ઠાકોરે ૧૯૭૩માં વિદ્યાર્થી નેતા તરીકે તેમની રાજકીય કારકિર્દીની શરૂઆત કરી હતી અને ૨૦૦૨માં તેમની પ્રથમ વિધાનસભા ચૂંટણી જીતી હતી.[૮] તેઓ ૨૦૦૨ અને ૨૦૦૭માં દહેગામથી ધારાસભ્ય તરીકે ચૂંટાયા હતા. ૨૦૧૪ની લોકસભા ચૂંટણીમાં હાર્યા પહેલા તેઓ ૨૦૦૯ અને ૨૦૧૪ વચ્ચે પાટણ લોકસભા મતવિસ્તારમાંથી સાંસદ હતા.[૯] એક સભા દરમિયાન તેમને ઠાકોર સમાજના દરેક કુટુંબના સભ્ય ને સરકારી નોકરી ની માંગ કરી હતી.
વિવાદ
[ફેરફાર કરો]બનાસકાંઠાની એક સભામાં તેમણે નરેન્દ્ર મોદીને વજાગરો (જાદુગર) કહ્યા હતા. જેનું રાહુલ ગાંધીએ પણ સમર્થન કર્યું હતું.
