તેજપુરા મહેસાણા જીલ્લાના મહેસાણા તાલુકામાં આવેલ એક નગર છે. તેજપુરા રજવાડું પહેલાં પશ્ચિમ ભારતના ગુજરાત પ્રદેશનું નાનું રજવાડું હતું .
ઇતિહાસ
મહીકાંઠામાં અધિકારક્ષેત્રનું રજવાડું કટોસણ થાણાનો ભાગ હતો અને ક્ષત્રિય મકવાણા દરબાર સરદારોનું શાસન હતું.[૧]
૧૯૦૧માં તેની વસતી ૧,૦૩૪ હતી, જેણે (વ્યક્તિગત સંઘ સાથે મળીને) રાજ્યકક્ષાની આવક 3,૫૦૦ રૂપિયા (૧૯૦૩-૦૪, જમીનથી તમામ) પ્રાપ્ત કરી, ગાયકવાડ બરોડા રાજ્યને ૩૦૮ રૂપિયા કર આપી.[૨] [૩]
1940 માં, જોડાણ યોજનામાં તેજપુરા અને અન્ય ઘણા (સહાયક) નાનો (ઇ) રાજ્યો ગાયકવાડ બરોડા રાજ્યમાં ભળી ગયા, જે તેની અધિપતિ સલામ રાજ્ય હતું, જે ૧૯૪૯ માં સ્વતંત્ર ભારતના બૃહદ મુંબઈ રાજ્યમાં ભળી ગયું.
